Background<\/h3>\n

In 2018, to mark the 400th anniversary of the birth of the painter Bartolom\u00e9 Esteban Murillo, Everpaths began its journey in the museums of Andalusia.<\/p>\n

Two years later, in 2020, Vodafone, in collaboration with ITSOFT, won the public tender to deploy Everpaths as the official indoor and outdoor localization platform. The goal was to map and model the region\u2019s key public spaces and buildings.<\/p>\n

This rollout kicked off in the cultural sector, encompassing a total of 24 museums and archaeological sites across Andalusia.<\/p>\n

This is how EspaciosCultur@<\/a> was born\u2014the premier mobile application for Andalusian museums.<\/p>\n

Key Objectives for Museums<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n

The proposed solution focused on two clear objectives:
1)To provide the public with a single, unified application that facilitates seamless indoor and outdoor navigation in public buildings, starting with museums. Additionally, the app functions as an audio guide, allowing visitors to turn their own smartphones into personal tour guides.<\/p>\n

2)To equip museums with a comprehensive platform that enables them to manage and monitor real-time data regarding visitor and asset tracking, content administration, capacity control, and more. <\/p>\n

Implementation and deployment<\/h3>\n

Together with Sandetel (The Andalusian Society for Telecommunications Development) and Vodafone, the project scope and a phased rollout plan were defined.<\/p>\n

The project launched with a pilot program at the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville and the It\u00e1lica Archaeological Site.

Results and impact<\/h3>\n

The pilot application was launched on iOS and Android in October 2018, coinciding with the opening of the Murillo anniversary exhibition.
Over these 6 years of experience in museums and archaeological sites, we have mapped more than 9 million m\u00b2 of outdoor spaces and around 80,000 m\u00b2 of indoor facilities, achieving the following milestones:
\u2013 Successful deployment across all 24 museums and sites, alongside new pilot programs in other sectors.
\u2013 Over 50,000 downloads of the EspaciosCultur@<\/a> app (powered by Everpaths) across both iOS and Android.
\u2013 Deep industry insights that allowed us to continuously adapt our application to better serve both visitors and museum administrators.
\u2013 Integration of new features, such as gamification, user surveys, and expanded language options.
\u2013 An enhanced visual experience, incorporating a wider variety of rich multimedia content, including Augmented Reality (AR) and 3D modeling.
– Include new functionalities, such as gamification, surveys, language extensions, etc.
– Improve visualization by including a greater variety of multimedia content such as augmented reality and 3D.<\/p>\n
